Arthur Burks is Professor Emeritus in Philosophy and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at the University of Michigan. Burks is a well-known Peirce scholar and the editor of volumes 7 and 8 of the Collected Papers.


Consulting Textual Editor

Don L. Cook is Professor Emeritus in English at Indiana University in Bloomington. Cook is a well-known specialist in textual editing and has been the General Editor of the W. D. Howells Edition. He is a member of several editorial boards and associations and has served as president of the Association for Documentary Editing and as the Chair (for five years) of the MLA Committee on Scholarly Editions.


Previous Chair of the Board

Don D. Roberts is Professor Emeritus in Philosophy at the University of Waterloo in Canada. Roberts is a well-known Peirce scholar -- a leading authority on Peirce's logic. Roberts was President of the Peirce Society and has served as a member of the PEP Board of Advisors since its inception.

Chair of the Board

Thomas L. Short is a well known philosopher and a leading authority on Peirce's philosophy of teleology. Short is a past president of the Peirce Society. He was appointed chair of the Peirce Edition Project board of advisors in 2001.
